Given that Forza Horza 6 is coming out soon I thought that I'd go back and play Forza Horizon 3. Yes I know it's old but from what I remember it was a lot of fun. Open up the Xbox App and find and download it.
Now it just keeps hanging on the loading screen. No error codes or anything. After a lot of AI searching I find that it uses an ancient thing called Xbox Identity Provider. Run the troubleshooter and it comes up with an error code and link. These leads to a generic MS webpage with no information.
I then find out how to force install it using a terminal command. This installs it, then the troubleshooter gives me the same error code. I also have the same error code with Game Bar.
After a good hour of trying to get it to work I've given up. Ok it's an old game but I would NEVER buy anything directly from MS again.
Thankfully Horizon 6 is on steam! 🙂
