Why is there an orange line under the skyrim icon on the taskbar?

When I go to steam and click play on skyrim. It tells me that steam was unable to sync my saves with the steam cloud. I click play anyway. I can see that the skyrim on the taskbar has an orange bar underneath it. When I click on it, it opens for a split second then close.

Which Windows version?

If it's bothering you, couple of things to try:

If Taskbar is set to auto-hide, turn that off.

If that doesn't solve it, uninstall the game, and reinstall.

Other than that, not something I'm familiar with.

I reinstalled it, and now it's working. Thank you

If there's a line under the icon, it means the app is open. If it's a short line, the app is running in the background. If it's a long line, the app is currently active. The color of the line just depends on your Windows theme.

Glad you got it working. Verifying the integrity of the files is another thing you could have done. Usually that fixes it.
