Which version of VLC is reliable?

Hi,

I'm looking to install a video player that can play everything on my PC, but I'm finding several sites that offer different versions and I'm afraid of getting infected. Does anyone use VLC on PC for videos and streaming? Does it work well for network streams and DVDs without codec issues?Thanks for your advice.

download it only from the official site video lan org to get real value. There are bunch of fake VLC download sites that pack in adware.

VLC is 100% the way to go, been using it for like 10 years with 0 issues, im sure others work too, but VLC player is great.
