Hey everyone I am new here becouse I want to switch from my PS5 to a good Gaming PC, but i have a dilemma on wich i should choose.

It stands beetween buying a used one, for a new one.

The used one have follwing components
CPU: Intel Core i9-9900K
GPU:: PNY GeForce RTX 4090 24GB XLR8 Gaming VERTO EPIC-X RGBTM Triple Fan
RAM: 32GB Corsair Dominator RGB DDR4 3600MHz
SSD: 1: 1TB Corsair Force Series MP600 M.2 SSD -
HDD :1TB WD Blue 3D Nano SDD - nypris: ~1000
HDD: 500GB Samsung SDD
HDD: 2x 250GB HDD drives
CPU-cooler: Corsair Hydro Series H110i watercooler
Powersuppley/PSU: 1000W Corsair HX1000W Modular
Chassi: 2500 Kabinett: NZXT H7 Flow Midi Tower, , 2x 120mm vfan, 360mm radiator, black
MBD : ASUS Prime Z370-A
Most of the parts have guarentee and thw owner build this one in october 2022.

I can get this one for around 3085 USD

The other computer i am looking at is a new one with 3 years gurantee and i will coast around 200 doller more then the used one.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 7900
GPU MSI RTX 4080 16 gb Ventus 3X OC
RAM: Kingston Fury beast RGB DDR 5 5600 MHZ 32 Gb
SSD: 2 TB Kingston Fury renegade PCIe M.2 NVME
Cooler: Cooler Master Masterbox TD500 Mesh AND CM ML240L ARGB
Powesupply: Corsair RME 850e 850W PSU
MDB: Asus TUF gaming B650-PLUS Wifi

So my concern is that the motherboard on the used one if gen 3, and will i get full experince from the RTX4090? or can i rather buy the new one and get the same output as the used one, but with better CPU, and newer motherboard, and DDR5.

I can also upgrade the new one with RTX 4090, but then it will coast around 4100 USD.

I am just a gamer, and this is out of my field of knowledge.
I just want to make a good buy, and invest in a gaming PC that wil last for 5-6 years before it get outdated.
Anyone that have any good input? all input are welcome :)

Welcome to the forum :)

An expert will drop by later, but the storage config of the used caught my eye. Doesn't make much sense to me, did the previous owner give any reason why he laid it out like that?

Thanks for yoúr reply

No did not ask, was not something that i noticed or thought about.
I actually bought the used one. (had a time limit) but we agreed, that i could try it, and then return it tomorrow if i was not happy.

Have tried it on Modern Warfare 2 and output i get is:

130-144 FP (my monitor only support up til 144 fps.
GUP time around 3-6 MS. GPU Clock 2730 MHZ, GPU temp stable around 50-52 Celsius.
Vram usage about 65% ,
CPU time, beetween 7-8 seconds.

It won't run on that board as it's a AM5 cpu.

Then maybe just upgrade the MDB and CPU, when new games will surpass my current setup.
