I don't think the headset quality matters too much in FPS games, at least not on a casual level. What I mean by that is that if you use settings like scout or footsteps enhancer, then a lot of the quality of the headset goes away and you are left with a more focus on amplifying the sound, than on the quality of it.
If I play PUBG or Arc Raiders I don't really get a rich and beautiful sound experience without something like scout mode/footsteps enhancer on, but I'll be able to hear footsteps from different buildings or floors in a building or shoots from further away, making it much easier to get an understanding of where people are fighting on the map.
