Of the handful of games I played last year, I'd say Immortals: Fenyx Rising was probably my favorite. Horizon: Zero Dawn was up there, too. The Plague Tale games were high on the list. But Fenyx Rising was probably my favorite for what I played last year.

For me, the standout game of 2022 was Elden Ring. It managed to feel massive and challenging without being overwhelming, and the sense of exploration was on another level. The freedom to approach fights and progression in your own way really set it apart from most releases that year.
