Question What are your thoughts on this build?

Salutations,

I'm Bert, and I literally just joined. It's been years since I've built a gaming PC; however, I'm old and I'm tired. I customized a rig that's right under my budget. Needless to say, I'm an AMD guy, I always have been.

What do you guys think about the following build? Of course, your input, pun intended, is appreciated.

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

POWERSUPPLY: 800 Watts - Standard 80 Plus Gold Certified Power Supply
That wattage looks awfully like one from a lackluster PSU. That being said, what you've mentioned is the advertised wattage of the PSU. What is the make and model of the unit?

I'd avoid Asus boards much like ASRock boards as they're having issues with BIOS and frying processors.

Your intention to go with one stick of ram will cripple your platform as Ryzen prefers a dual channel layout, CL30 at DDR5-6000MT/s or DDR5-6000MHz.

If you intend to tax your system with games, nearly maxed out at 1440p then the build is good, could drop the processor down to a 9600x.
