Using 2560x1440 on UWQHD 34”

Hi, there! Is there anyone here who uses 2560x1440 resolution on a UWQHD 3440x1440 monitor for certain games, resulting in a size of 27" with two black bars on the sides? Am I the only one? Of course, I don't use this for all games. Just about 3 games with heavy modes where I need higher performance. My GPU is RTX 4080 and CPU 7800X3D.

The black bars are an inevitable result when the resolution you have chosen has a different aspect ratio than the monitor's native resolution. To remove the black bars you have to make the resolution you are watching into the same aspect ratio, in which case a portion of the image will be cut off.

To put it more plainly: If you want a square peg to fit into a round hole you have to shave off enough of the corners of the square peg until it's a round peg.
