Trying to decide on a new-gen (Ryzen 9000/RTX 50) build to replace my PC that broke in December 2024.

Approximate Purchase Date: probably either June 5 or June 19, depending how fast I can save up.

Budget Range: $1,000-$1,200.

System Usage from Most to Least Important: Gaming (online more than single player) watching videos/streams, looking at websites, writing/typing.

Are you buying a monitor: No, using my current monitor.

Parts to Upgrade: (e.g.: CPU, mobo, RAM)

* GPU: MSI RTX 5060 Ti 16GB Ventus 2X Plus ($490)
* CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 9600X ($214)
* Mobo: Asus B650E MAX GAMING WIFI W ($170)
* RAM: Patriot Viper Venom 32GB (2x16GB) DDR5-6000 CL30 ($83)
* Case: DIYPC DIY-S05-BK
* CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 Specturm V3 ($20)
* PSU: Corsair RM750x SHIFT (recycled from old build)
* SSD: ADATA XPG S7 512GB Gen 3x4 SSD (recycled from old build)

Do you need to buy OS: No, I was just gonna use like a $15 Windows 11 key on an old USB flash drive.

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: Prices in this post are from Newegg, have also used Best Buy in the past. Don't wanna use Amazon cause their shipping been slow AF lately.

Location: the city of Kaunakakai on the island of Molokai, Hawaii. We have zero chain stores (no Walmart, no Best Buy, and definitely no Micro Center), absolutely none of our locally owned stores sell PC parts, and it's an island so you can't drive anywhere that does. I am essentiallyrequired to buy my PC parts online.

Parts Preferences: Just wanted the cheapest build I can put together with one of the newest Ryzen 9000 CPUs and RTX 50 GPUs, 32GB DDR5-6000 CL30 RAM, and I'd like the mobo to have Gen 5 slots for the SSD and GPU. Oh, and a Wi-Fi motherboard is a must.

Overclocking: Of course.

Multiple GPUs: No

Your Monitor Resolution: 1920x1080 200Hz HDR FreeSync

And Most Importantly, Why Are You Upgrading: I built my very first PC back in February 2021 at age 18, but never got to use it due to GPUs being unaffordable. I finally got it working in October 2024 at age 22 with an RTX 3050 6GB... and it worked okay until December 2024 when the DisplayPort stopped working... and then the HDMI started glitching... so I tried rebooting and pulling out the RAM for a while... and when it stopped posting, I tried to pull out the CPU and broke the pins. Now I don't even wanna use that old mobo cause what if the socket is damaged? Not to mention needing a whole new CPU and GPU, I'd rather just save my old SSD and power supply (cables are all still there and undamaged) for a better build that doesn't feel as "cheapy" (what with the 3050 6GB and all).

Here's my old build parts:

* GPU: Gigabyte RTX 3050 6GB Windforce OC
* CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 w/stock cooler
* Mobo: Gigabyte B450M DS3H V2
* RAM: G.SKILL Ripjaws V Series 32GB (2x16GB) DDR4-4400 CL19 (upgraded; not the original RAM from this build)
* Case: Thermaltake V100 Midtower Chassis
* PSU: Corsair RM750x SHIFT (upgraded, not the original PSU from this build)
* SSD: ADATA XPG S7 512GB Gen 3x4

What is the question?

* GPU: MSI RTX 5060 Ti 16GB Ventus 2X Plus ($490)
* CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 9600X ($214)
* Mobo: Asus B650E MAX GAMING WIFI W ($170)
* RAM: Patriot Viper Venom 32GB (2x16GB) DDR5-6000 CL30 ($83)
* Case: DIYPC DIY-S05-BK
* CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 Specturm V3 ($20)
* PSU: Corsair RM750x SHIFT (recycled from old build)
* SSD: ADATA XPG S7 512GB Gen 3x4 SSD (recycled from old build)
You seem to know what you want already?

I am upgrading in the next two weeks from the current to new PC links in my sig.
Currently buying all the parts.
my ram is CL28 G Skill Ripjaws (timing, hour after saying that the store contacted me to say ram out of stock... lol)
Only recycle from old PC is my GPU

I would not go with an ssd that small, you can get a 2tb for just over 100. I go with samsung for the couple extra bucks. I just bought a 4tb on sale for 225.

Person preference, i match parts from the same manufature when i buy a mb/gpu. I see mixed builds all the time on forums with glitching issues ljke stuttering for example. Im not saying thats the cause but to meit just makes since that acompanies stuffeoyld be optimized best eith testing. Gigabyte, msi, asus are brands i hear the best things about. i personally use asus and have only had a few issue overthe years. For what ever reason my latest board i couldnt get the lan to function
I bought a pci lan card for a work around though perhaps o e of the bios updates adressedit i never bothered to check

Cosair is solid for ps and ram. ,. evga also makes great ones, never used gskill but i hear its good no frills ram. Just make sure you check the timing sometimes youll see a high ghz but it has slower timing look into that aspect asice not do e so with ddr5 to find the sweets spot

There is no need to use just one company for GPU and Motherboard, they don't optimise them to match each other and about only advantage might be less support software is needed as they probably both use the same programs for features. If you only choose Asus it probably does make sense as most of their hardware needs Armoury Crate or Gear to run now.
I used Asus motherboards in 4 of my PC and only recently swapped to using Gigabyte.
I wouldn't do it as it could restrict which GPU you can choose from. That might not matter if you just want Nvidia cards, but there are other choices Asus may not make.
