True Blue Streamer

With a limited budget and a list of demands I went for function over form with this Blue collar build, it does what it needs to do with no frills. Starting with the CPU I went with a AMD 3600X for its better cost to performance and multi-threaded throughput over Intel. Pair that with an Gigabyte B450 AORUS for a solid foundation. 500 GB NVME storage and 2TB backup for saving streams. Went with the RTX 2060 super because of the included NVENC encoders that allow for easier streaming and you would be able to play 4k games. Finish with a Blue Fractal Design case with glass sides for a slick look to this Blue Collar build. A capture card could be added for $80-$200 for a decent one.

This PC is about maximum performance per-dollar, with favor placed on streaming performance. The 2070 Super, with it's NVENC video encoder, will deliver superb streaming performance while still being able to play most games at 4k. The R5 3600 further supports this with 12 threads of multi-tasking support. The 128GB NVME drive will give excellent system performance, while the 1 TB 7200 RPM disk drive will provide ample storage. here is my take on it. No capture card, but an rtx 2070 to take advantage of the nvenc codec which is simply amazing. I could have gone 2060super, but 2070 its just an edge better and those few fps more might help. 1tb drive.. and a 6core cpu to run game and obs. This is the $1000 Gaming and Streaming Build
We're looking for the best streaming and gaming build for under $1000. We will favor submissions that include capture cards and can game in 4K.

How does it work?​

We're gonna break this competition down into 4 parts:

1. Submit your builds​
2. After a week of submissions, the PC Gamer staff will pick their top 5 in each category. We will judge primarily on quality of components, price, and theoretical system performance.​
3. Users vote on their favorite build of the top 5.​
4. We feature the winning builds in each category on the PC Gamer homepage.​

How do I submit a build?​
