I can’t log in into steam. Not the client or their forums. It keeps throwing at me an error on the captcha after I’ve complete it and hit the search button. Have any of you guys resolved this problem?
Thanks in advance,
Jonathan Flores

I have been using steam ever since it came out to login into the site you must use the correct id and password.
The same applies when logging into the steam client and when you put the steam client on another computer , you wont get on unless you use your original log in details.

I dont think i have ever seen a captcha , the only extra level of security i have seen is when you log into the steam site from a new device and it sends a code to an email address you have registered with them to confirm who you are.

About the client not working, you could try navigating to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam directory and using the steam.exe file directly from that folder. This method has helped me in the past when I did not get access through a shortcut or when Steam did not connect through Windows startup.

I’ll try that one
But it’s the captcha I dunno it says your human but once I hit the search button which is the only one that appears it throws an error about the captcha. I’ve tried the forums and it does the same.

Yeah I’ve got it from the website. And still the captcha appears. It’s there an email or somewhere that I can get in contact with them other than the forum? Because in the forums it shows the captcha too.

Hey Jonathan, I ran into the same issue recently. What worked for me was clearing my browser cookies and switching to a different browser temporarily—Chrome gave me errors, but Firefox worked fine. Also, try disabling any browser extensions that might interfere with captchas (like ad blockers or privacy tools). Hope that helps!
