I'm picking up … Storm Tale 2 a Match 3

If you ever want to try a Match 3, I recommend this one for $2 in the sale. I got 30-40 hours out of it in just one playthru, and it's generally a polished product.

Play relaxed, or with either limited time or moves. Limited Moves is my poison, needs a bit of figuring out and occasional restarts—but relaxing, no stress.

Just grabbed a few random cheap titles. Don't think I'm going to pick anything else up this sale. I picked up Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved for $2. Enjoyed playing this one back in the Xbox 360 days and it's verified on Steam Deck so I can play handheld. I've heard good things about The Messenger, so I picked it up somewhat on a whim for $5. Last, I picked up an interesting-looking indie that I've had my eye on for a bit called Roadwarden, a text-based RPG. Not sure if I'll like it, but I enjoy trying out indies that catch my eye.

I ended up buying the System Shock Remake a few days ago, as I've been wanting that one since it was announced over 6 years ago, plus I needed a game that wasn't going to be too long and overlap when Starfield releases in September. I could have chipped a game out of my backlog to play, like most of us, but the lure of the Steam Sale was just too strong.

I got Solista and Final Fantasy Crisis Core.

Solista was a little weird. There's a bundle deal and a Lightbringer deal. Both have the exact same items, but the bundle is more expensive. I'm surprised they don't just make the bundle a little cheaper and just use that all the time.

(Neither includes the soundtrack, which is also a little weird.)

Did the deal you purchased contain all the DLCs? Just curious because some of those add a lot of content to the base game. I'll be interested to see how well you liked the game (or not), as Solasta has a lot of strengths as well as some weaknesses, but was very well done, being developed by such a small game studio.

It's apparently very good.

I bought Aliens: Dark Descent days before Dave the Diver, yet I have more time already with the latter.

As soon as this game comes out on Switch I'm buying it for all my console playing family members. This is a GOTY contender for sure.

Grabbed the complete editions of Watch_Dogs 1 and 2 as I'm in the mood for a big open world and they're both on a huge discount. Have played a bit of both before on console but not the DLC content so I'm hoping it will justify a replay!

After uninstalling Watch Dogs, I was unable to find a game from my backlog I wanted to play, so I bought the Fallout 4 GOTY edition. Then spend an hour or so installing a whole bunch of mods, most of them fixes for the many, many bugs in the game.

Decided to grab Halls of Torment before the sale ends. It's very good, a lot better than Vampire Survivors while staying very faithful to the genre rules. No unnecessary story. Just pure fun of monster slaying. Extremely relaxing.

So i went to the steam sale with no games i wanted to buy there. interestingly enough, humble bundle's current game bundle looked enticing there was a couple of promising games, at least 3 of them was on my wish list and buying 8 items for just under 12 makes it less then 2 quid per item... Can't get any better then that tbh, but whilst there is gold there are also thing i've already got or i'm dubious about....
