Side scrolling beat em up/shooter games, often 2D, can you suggest some great ones, or ones in the style ive suggested?

So I like the Punisher game on super Nintendo ,it combines an awesome fighting style, flashy punches kicks and throws with epic meelee, knives, baseball bats, posts, barrels , and it even has firearms as well machine guns, pistols flame throwers, etc. Ive never seen such an impressive integration of fighting and weapons before, in a side scroll-er style game. (streets of rage style)

My other suggestion is Contra Alien Wars 3 for super Nintendo , I didnt like the birds eye view levels but the side scrolling levels were memorable, epic, breath taking even. Not to mention it gives you that Dolph Arnold Rambo feel love it (mostly fire arms) sci fi style

My final suggestion is Cybernator again for the super Nintendo , a really epic scifi robot style, side scrolling game again memorable and just high class from Japan as usual (shame there were no sequels)



( I play these on a pc emulator please dont restrict your games to any platform it can be any pc or any console )

If you can find a DVD for it the old Sega Collection is great, but has been delisted from steam. You should be able to find it online, but I don't know what price it is.

Capcom collections are great. They have their arcade collections, but also the beat em up one with online play.

what ive always wanted is the ability to transfer my street fighter 2 turbo skills into a side scrolling game like streets of rage it probably exists but probably doesnt have the same feel as street fighter 2 on snes, looking through your suggestion thanks friend!

On a more left field but just as good, try guacamelee series. not quite brawler but the combat is tacticle all the same.
