I'm only in my 20's now, but I fondly remember when I was very young (approximately 10/11) and I was messing around on one of our family friends' PC's running windows 95 back in the day trying to (selfishly) get their dial-up working so I could browse the web. Finally figuring out how to get online but become bored of the tedious process I found the executable for Doom installed on this pc - ended up loading it up playing for a few hours and finding cheat codes to spawn weapons and change levels on the web.
Unbeknownst to me, every-time i was reloading the dial-up connection to see more cheat codes, I was disconnecting the phone service that one of the people downstairs were using to contact my grandmother, whom, once I got home to, was complaining about how their Optus phone connection was rubbish and they should switch to someone else as they were getting ripped off.
I still love playing doom and not using dial-up, haha.
