Question Screen Flashes after Windows 10 Update

I recently updated my system to the latest windows version. Ever since then when I first boot my computer for the first couple of minutes my screen flashes back and forth between black and regular screen pretty rapidly. I also updated my graphics driver after having the issue but it didn’t help.

Try running DDU and then performing a clean install of the latest drivers.

If that's no good, what is your full system spec.

What monitor do you have

And what Windows 10 version did you go from and are on now?

I will try the DDU. I am running a AMD Ryzen 5 3600, Nividia GeForce 2060 super, 2 Corsair vengeance 8 gb Rams, evga 750 supernova psu, and a MSI mpg X570 motherboard. I’m actually running hdmi to a Samsung 75 in tv. But I didn’t have any issue till the recent update. I will have to check the version on it.

Update on this I ran ddu with no change whatsoever also did and complete reset and reinstall of windows and deleted all my files and still does the same thing only worse now.

When you say a reinstall of Windows, did you do a clean reinstall - i.e. one where you delete all existing partitions on your OS drive before installing?

Have you tried a different monitor / TV?

And a different cable?

Yes a clean install. I will try a cable and see what that does for me.

Also try different HDMI inputs on your TV

I already tried all my inputs but I will be trying a different cable when I get home to see how that turns out.

I also noticed when I boot the pc in safe mode that the screen doesnt do it, but when I ran ddu as soon as I reinstalled the gpu drivers it started doing it again.

Update: the issue just stopped I didn’t do anything special just booted it up a couple of days ago and noticed it wasn’t doing it anymore and hasn’t done it since then. Still would like to know the cause of it though.
