Want weird (not good, per se, but weird)? E.Y.E. Divine Cybermancy might be worth picking up on sale. Also I don't think anyone mentioned Space hulk Deathwing.

I enjoyed it too. The shooting is certainly one of the game's brighter points. Then again I like the shooting in all the Mass Effects even if some of it is a bit shallow.

Quake Champions I guess? It is in the realm of sci-fi.

Another recomendation would be Battlezone. Fighting in hover tanks on Venus definately qualifies as Sci-Fi.

It's one of the finest games ever made. An unique mix of Quake [or any FPS], Command and Conquer, World of Tanks and The Settlers. One of the best control schemes to manage your units I've ever seen. A top notch story and voice acting which emersese you into it.

It was remastered as Battlezone98 a couple of years ago and I think they forced down the freeware release which itself was patched to work on later windows by one of the original developers. Hunt it out, you won't be disappointed.

I would call BattleZone a 3D RTS, but there's certainly lots of shooting involved.

There is not enough mention of Destiny 2. Its free, its massive and has the best gunplay around.
