RTX 3060 + RYZEN 5 3600 or RX6600XT + I5 10400F ?

My question is whether I should buy a ready-made PC with the RTX 3060 + RYZEN 5 3600 or with the RX6600 XT + i5 10400F , as the i5 has a frequency limiter up to 2666mhz, while the RYZEN 5 3600 releases up to 3200mhz. Would this loss of RAM memory power compensate for the power of the card (RX6600 XT) ?

Hi and welcome.

Based on just that information, the 10400F and 6600XT would be the slightly faster option.

However it does also depend on what else you get with the other system, I'd take option one if it had a lot more storage or a better quality PSU/case for example. Can you list the full specs or add in links to the systems ?

Hello, Thanks for the information.

So, as you asked, The RTX 3060 PC specs are: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 ; Gigabyte B550M Aorus Elite DDR4 ; (x2) Team Group T-Force Vulcan 8GB (1x8GB), DDR4, 3000Mhz ; AZZA 650W RGB 80 PLUS Bronze PFC .

And the RX6600 XT PC specs are: Intel Core i5-10400F, 6-Core, 12-Threads, 2.9Ghz(4.3Ghz Turbo) ; MSI B560M-A PRO, DDR4, Socket LGA1200, M-ATX, Chipset Intel B560, B560M-A-PRO ; (x2) Team Group T-Force Vulcan Pichau, 8GB (1x8), DDR4, 3200MHz ; AZZA 650W RGB 80 PLUS Bronze.

Just to clarify,I didn't mention the storage and cabinet as they are the same.

Both PC's are almost the same price

OK :)
Basically the same system, so if the choice is out of those two only then you already know what to do.

I will say the 8GB of RAM is low for a new gaming system, and 1 stick will run slower than a pair due to how motherboards work. That PSU is also suspect, no decent reviews available and from a lesser known brand.

If you like you could post your budget and location, and perhaps someone could recommend something better for the money?

Sorry, it's 2 sticks of ram as i mentioned
(x2) Team Group T-Force Vulcan Pichau

And about the PSU, there are some reviews of it in the most common computer stores here in Brazil, most of them positive, but maybe I'll make this change.

My budget It's a maximum of 7500 reais, like 1.440 dolars

Hello, Thanks for the information.

So, as you asked, Team Group T-Force Vulcan 8GB (1x8GB), DDR4, 3000Mhz ;

Team Group T-Force Vulcan Pichau, 8GB (1x8),

1x8GB stick of RAM going by what you posted earlier.

PSU reviewers should test using specialized equipment, For example,

User reviews are not helpful at all for PSU's, and any review that doesnt have a lot of charts and information on ripple and voltage regulation isnt actually telling anything about the PSU.

If its this one it has a 2 year warranty. That shows how much faith the manufacturer has in it, even the cheaper end PSU's have 3-5 years these days from more well known manufacturers.

I'm sorry, I dont know hardware stores in Brazil, and PC Partpicker doesnt have a Brazil tab for some reason. Someone else might be able to put a build together for you if you were willing to build yourself, otherwise you could post up a link to any site you'd be willing to buy from and we can see if there are any better options than the ones you found already. :)

Yes, thanks for the help!

I also don't think that PSU would be highly recommended, so as this is a finished PC, I can't make changes to it, so I decided to choose it piece by piece and in a little while I'll post how the setup turned out *if I can create a topic for it *. It's costing a little more but it's still at the average value I wanted!

Can I create a post for it? It would help me to find any compatibility error
