I used same case maker for 2 PC in a row and the last PC would have used them too had it been easy to find cases in 2020. I can't afford the case I want from them now anyway. It be overkill for my pc.

H x W x D
16.06" x 7.28" x 17.52" (Front Bezel Excluded)
4079 x 1849 x 3942 (all in mm - you might want to confirm I converted it right)

I would guess you after width, but measuring outside would sure wittle it down.

I think this is for the entire case not just inside.

The fact it excludes the bezel for one makes me think its internal.

Amazon shows these dimensions
44.5 x 20.98 x 40.79 cm; 5.1 kg
which could be external

Doesn't have any measurements

the difference between a 9800x3d and a 9950x3d are probably not worth the price to me. If you do more than game, then yes. If you stream, then Yes... but I see what 9900x3d is like when they reveal it.

time passes

As I suspected, it splits the difference. Now 3 x3d chips sit at top of majority of game charts.

PC cooling improvements continue. Picked up a new CPU cooler, a Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 SE V3 edition. The V1 is the most popular pick on Amazon, and it's the specific one that Gamer's Nexus and other outlets gave great reviews to. The changes between each version is fairly small and incremental that I suppose that's the reason why I can't find much info on the V3. For context, V1 came out Jan 2022, V3 came out just last November.

As far as I understand it, it's got slightly better fans and it uses the 5th generation of their heat pipe technology (V1 used gen3), which according to Thermalright, "the heat dissipation effect is improved". Truly though, anything would be an improvement over my current cooler. Air coolers have improved so much in just the past few years, so I'm excited to get something better.

My mind works in a way that these very minor incremental improvements make a world of difference in my decision making. They've worked on improving it, and thought the improvements were good enough to release as it's own new product, so it's got to be better, right? I just hope there aren't issues that would be easier to solve with a more popular product than this newer version of it, or that this new version has some unknown defects not yet discovered. Good thing is that this new version was actually a few dollars cheaper ($38 for V1, $33 for V3), and it had next day shipping which the original did not. I'll be busy this weekend, so I appreciate the faster delivery. Anyways it seemed like a win-win to me in most regards.

I also picked up a Noctua Redux NF-S12B. Cheaper version of the NF-S12A, but still their top picks for airflow capacity. This new fan will replace my rear exhaust which has a cheap budget fan stuck in it. After this, all my case fans will be Noctua branded. Boujee!

I also picked up some Noctua 4-pin PWM splitters. The CPU cooler will need two connections, so I had to get a splitter anyways. This set comes with three splitters, so I figured I would try to figure out how I can use them to tidy up my cable spaghetti a bit more.

9900x3d is essentially 2 x 6 cores, one with 3d cache and one without.
Explains why its performance is lower than the other 2.
Just like the 9070 its there to make you think the extra cost of the 9950x3d really isn't that big. It is better value than the 9900x3d is. Those 4 extra cores really do make a difference

Cooling is about only concern I have with a 9950x3d. I will look at how air coolers apart from the Best Noctua cope with its load. I prefer not to have Brown fans in my White build. I feel people who do that in white cases should be shot... shame Noctua don't have white fans. Took enough just to get them to make Black ones I guess.

I thought about that cooler... for a few hours :)
I went through all their coolers trying to find the best one. I don't recall what result was.

All of the fans I can see are Noctua's, does that count?

Seems they are dusty. Front really didn't want to come off tonight.

I have extra power cables for Noctua fans as well as the rubber mounting spikes

About only thing I don't have is splitters but I have a fan hub in case so I just used it. The previous fans either only used one cable to power all the fans or used a cable passthrough system so only one needed to plug into motherboard. Alas, my current 3 use 3 headers on Hub but then I don't need any more.

Next motherboard will have 8 fan headers, and case will come with a 5 fan PWM hub, so the problem I had with fan headers in this case will soon not exist at all. Well, soon being 5 months or so.

My current mobo only has three!

Makes you wonder why they don’t have other colors. I understand the brown and tan is their signature look, that they put performance over looks, and perhaps their fans are harder to mass produce than others, but their customers have been begging for new colors. The Redux line is all grey, but they’re not the same as their normal colored fans or black ones, so I can see someone sacrificing performance for looks. I have all Redux line fans from them just because they’re cheaper and work just fine, much better than bargain bin fans. Maybe it has something to do with the color dye causing issues with the fans, not meeting their astronomical standards.

current board has 2 system fan headers and 2 for CPU purposes (one extra for a pump)

My next board has 6 system fan headers + 2 for CPU like above.
(if I weaken and get a lower value MB it comes with 4 fan headers I think but fan headers aren't only reason I picked the board)
next case has 6 fans but some can go on the fan hub.
plan on putting front 3 x 140mm fans on the hub
run the bottom 2 x 120mm fans off motherboard
rear fan needs to run off motherboard as well
CPU has its own headers

Noctua removed white fans from their roadmap last year - link
Their best air cooler only comes with the brown fans and you can't buy replacement fans for it that aren't brown yet, so even if I wanted black fans I can't. You want the best, you pay with your eyes.

My air cooler isn't bad, it is equal to yours in some tests and beats it in vrm tests.
its price is its biggest weakness and maybe the fans can be noisy, but I don't find them that bad on current CPU.
The only other concern at time of making GN video was availability of a 140mm fan replacement but I think this could be it
If I did need one, I would confirm it first.
