With IEM I can't hear anyone unless I happen to see them.
its 7am and I just thought... odd, mum not up yet. I have been listening to music for a while, and I took IEM off to go wake mum just to find she already up and had come in and said good morning already but I hadn't noticed her... IEM put me in a little world with the music.

Could be I was trying to figure out an error

and I was busy posting a question about it on another forum.

lol. as usual when I ask a question, figured it out myself

None of these apply to me.
no regrets on current PC, I do have one for previous PC but no point crying over spilt milk. I bought too many fans but it was a learning curve

Another video where the only games anyone would think to play is a shooting game.

I don't regret having a nice looking system, I could have save money on all sorts of things but I got what I wanted. Cheaper air coolers but I like how mine looks and it doesn't obstruct my ram. Could have got cheaper ram (at time) and cheaper nvme but I value my data more than to use cheaper brands. Could have used a different motherboard as well. And case... basically I could have swapped almost everything if money was a concern at the time.

Same even applies to my screen.... I could even have it now if I had been happy with less.

Okay, I bought the Hedgehog MMO mouse. You win some, you lose some. This was a loss. This is the worst mouse I've ever used.

1) Joystick feature is useless to me because it's a base that has to be affixed wherever you are going to use your mouse, otherwise, the base just moves when you move the mouse. I wanted to try the joystick for occasional use, so this isn't going to work.

2) BIG problem is that the mouse is oddly wide and strangely shaped.

a) Designed to use your left click finger to the right of the mouse wheel: You have the option of using your left click finger to either the left or the right of the mouse wheel, but it was clearly designed with putting your finger to the right of the mouse wheel. When you do that, however, your thumb isn't really able to use the side buttons properly, which is the entire reason you would want an MMO mouse.

b) MAJOR PROBLEM. So when I tried moving my finger to it's normal spot to the left of the mouse wheel, not only did the mouse feel odd, but my finger naturally sat exactly in between the two left click buttons, so that I hit both left click buttons at the same time. This doesn't sound like a huge problem, but for some reason, when you hit both left click buttons, the result is a right click, so I was constantly right clicking when what I needed was a left click.

3) The mouse wheel felt good to me at first, but there is a small space between the wheel and the mouse on both ends, and it pinches my finger. It's the first time a mouse has ever caused me actual pain.

4) Because of the weird grip, I'm constantly pushing buttons on the side by accident.

I consider this literally and completely unusable. This makes every other mouse I've ever used feel like it was made by an other-worldly genius. If I were a PC Gamer reviewer and it wasn't against the rules, I would give this a zero. I appreciate that this guy tried to be innovative, but what he ended up with is complete garbage.

This isn't about setting my expectations too high. My expectations for a mouse made by some random dude are actually pretty low. I expected it to be functional. That's all. And it isn't even close to that. I would have been happier if this thing had been dead on arrival.

No offence but have you made a mouse?

Most other mice probably had a few versions before release, this was this guys project so its probably exactly what he wanted... we all have different wants. He doesn't have a team of people making it, he may not have received much feedback.

Way its going you need to make your own mouse pad. I know, different topic

WTF. Uh, no offense, but have I charged someone $100 for complete garbage?

See my response from above. A first product is no excuse for anything. I can guarantee you that had I made that mouse and that was the best I could do that I sure as hell wouldn't have put it up for sale on Amazon.

When is the last time you used a mouse and your hand kept jerking off the mouse because it felt like your finger was stung by an bee?

My suggestion is that unless you are willing to buy the mouse and experience it for yourself that you stop defending it.

I did try to stop you reacting like that.

It was the risk you took buying something from an virtually unknown company.

I am not defending it. I wouldn't have bought it based on it having no reviews. Even if it was a known company, I would baulk at buying something without any... ignores fact I bought a 7900xt which to this day has no reviews for it. That worked out fine as it wasn't the first GPU that company had made.

what model Keychron do you use/suggest?

Hmm I edited this but must not have saved it
I probably get:

I don't mind Nuphy but its impossible to tell how much battery I have at any time, and so I normally use it wired anyway... Its battery is pathetic compared to the 660 hours the keychron offers.

I wonder if that time is with rgb off... i suspect it is. Still beats Nuphy.

That and having grey text on white key caps makes it impossible to see numbers most of the time. At least the white Q3 has black lettering. Sanity.

I have the Keychron Q1v2 in Eggshell white, swapped keycaps with a knock off 8BitDo retro theme keycap set and bought the same keyboard for my sister and swapped the keycaps out for an Evangelion Unit-08 themed keycap set. I bought the Keychron Q5 for my little brother and swapped the keycaps out for a KeyTok Porsche/Gulf 917K keycap set, before I got the 2 Keychron's for my sister and myself.

Was planning to get the Purple Q6 and swap them out for a purple keycap set for my niece but the keyboard went out of stock and I don't think it'll be back up anytime soon.

I have a 75% layout now, won't take much to adjust to 80% again

Tossing up getting this one instead

Both HE and the Red switches I was picking are linear so I may try a Hall Effect
Swap a knob for wood

Shame no Q versions in wood. Though to be fair, the "wood" is just attached to sides, or is two buttons on keyboard, so like my case, its just for appearance.

I don't really think I need HE keyboard as I am one of those rare gamers who doesn't play shooting games. Q series sounds like the way I will go.

Keychron's Wireless connection options are so much better than Nuphy. The only way to stop the nuphy from missing letters in sentences or repeating one, is to run it wired. Its wireless is limited to about 1 metre. The Keychron method of overcoming the limited range of their dongle is to provide a USB extension cable that you can plug dongle into and run closer to your location. That is the same way Steelseries mice do it, its dongle sits on the table in front of PC.
Keychrons reception is better too, its been known for people to use kb in another room.

Its a long weekend here or I probably buy it today.

Going to buy the Q3 Ultra over the HE for two reasons... the software, and battery life

The HE uses QMK
The Ultra uses ZMK

While QMK is more established, it doesn't have the ability to directly communicate with the Blue tooth chips, meaning any keyboard using it needs another way to talk to its wireless/BT and it uses more battery in the process. ZMK is actually based on an operating system that has BT access so no need to use other methods.

ZMK is the main reason the Ultra can run for 660 hours on one charge (200 with RGB on) compared to about 180 on the QMK models.

All the HE versions use QMK though the Google AI contradicts itself. If you search for a list of their keyboards that use ZMK, it lists the Q3 HE as a possible choice, but if you search for the model and ZMK, it turns around and says all HE models need QMK. Which AI answer do I trust when its the same one both times?

I will wait until end of week to order as it was a long weekend here so I know I wouldn't get it before next weekend anyway.

Things I didn't see coming
A Noctua mouse with fan inside to keep palms cool...

that's not new. I recall Thermaltake were the first brand to have venting on their mouse's palmrest, after they got BMW Designworks involved in the project.
