PSU modding

So I just made the call to order stuff for a new PC build (going to be used mostly for gaming but for other stuff as well). AMD Ryzen Threadripper 3990x, 64gb 4600MHz RAM, 2x 2TB SSD, 4TB HDD, 2x MSI Gaming X Trio 3090. Ordered a Corsair AX1600i PSU to go with it since the demands are REALLY high for the build. I was wondering if I could replace the stock fan in the PSU with an RGB fan, such as a Thermaltake Riing Quad 14. (the PSU fan is 140mm). Is it possible to do such a thing?

AFAIK Its really not recommended to pull apart a power supply unless you are a qualified electrician/engineer. There are components (capacitors) inside that can hold a charge long after the supply is unplugged from the wall that can actually kill you.

Possible yes, advisable no unless you're qualified. You'd be safer running some LED strips around the PSU.
