Dear all,
I'm new here and I'd be really really grateful for some help from your side.
I live in Italy and I'm thinking to build a desktop PC that will be used, at present, mainly (by my children) to play the most famous sandbox open world game (and the dungeon version) and (by me) to organize and edit pictures with lightroom. When I was young I used to play simrace games and, if I will be able to find some time, I'd also like to play sometimes Assetto Corsa (or similar games), but this is not the priority.
About the future, I don't know how my children's tastes about games will evolve, but of course I'd like to have a PC that will last at least some years...

My budget is max 1.500 Euros, but (of course) I'd be happy to spend less money.

Can you help me to find a good config for my needs?
Sorry if I’m not proposing a config mysellf, but I'm not an expert and I wouldn't know where to start from... Probably the components listed in the Gaming PC build guide of the forum are what I need?

Thank you very much in advance!

Seeing how this is an Italian build, a shout out to Adriano Celentano who invented his own language just for this song (1972).

pardon the off topic but I was very amused by this. 🤣

I think I know what this is and I do play it myself. 😋 the build above will certainly help your children play this game, mods and modpacks too, if they are ever so inclined later down the road. 😉

as the recommended build above includes 32GB RAM, more than enough to spam TNT blocks and have good FPS.

😂😂 you are right, it is very amusing!
the fact is that the moderation software of this forum seems to be quite scared by creepers and skeletons which spawn out of nothing too often!

Of course in my original post I wrote the name of the mysterious game in the title and in the text, but this didn’t allow me to open the thread (I even wrote an email to the forum assistance to find out that!)

Anyway, thanks to let me know that the RAM is important for this kind of games!

32GB comes in handy with photo editing.

Hi :) It will work just as well.
Hi, I wanted to thank all of you, and particularly Why_Me, for your assistance. The configuration you suggested is working very nicely, just as expected!

I find myself in need of more help. While building the PC, due to delivery timing, I ended up purchasing two cases. Now, I have a spare Fractal Design Focus 2 ATX Mid Tower Case. I'm unable to return it because I forgot to do so within the return period.

So, I thought of building another budget PC, primarily for office use (email, browsing, Microsoft Office, etc.) and some photo editing. I don't need outstanding performance for this one since I can use the other PC for tasks that require more power.

Could you suggest the most cost-effective configuration for heavy Microsoft Office use?

Thanks again!

Best!
