old windows desktop

hey all

so, i was reading an article about old desktops and it made me think of one that i had in, i think, '95

it was windows on an hp, again, i think

so, the desktop itself was like walking into a library

the programs were lined up like books on the shelves

i'm running linux now, and wondering if anyone remembers this or knows of something like it for linux

it was the basic desktop gui

turned on the pc and that is what loaded.

you looked at row of book shelves with the books being your programs and, when you picked the one you wanted, it opened like a book with the shortcut and any info on what it was.

just a neat little interface. i started looking around, but really have no clue how i would go about finding something so old:confused2:

as long of a shot as it is, i'm hoping someone may remember it or have seen anything like it

I don't remember anything like that. All Google came up with was a program called Microsoft Bookshelf 95 but that was more like a collection of knowledge resources:
