So,..
hi looking for help.. i have a new HP laptop and an x box game pass to wit i downloaded Skyrim( of course).. T he game how ever is extremely laggy and jumpy, there are no apps other than xbox and running windows 11. The processor is an Intel(R) Celeron(R) N4120 CPU @ 1.10GHz 1.10 GHz , with 1TB of memory. HELP!!TYIA>

I can see it on sale with 4gb of ram or 8gb

can you look in task manager/performance tab/memory

more you have, the more smooth it could be.

8gb appears to be max.

it only has integrated graphics which isn't going to help either.

some sites don't even know what they selling, its listed as Dual Core on some but its actually Quad. Still might slow it down a little. But it should be enough for Skyrim.

Device name johns
Processor Intel(R) Celeron(R) N4120 CPU @ 1.10GHz 1.10 GHz
Installed RAM 4.00 GB (3.82 GB usable)
Device ID
Product ID
System type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor

This is the spec mate

i took the product ID and device ID out... didn't really help me identify it anyway.

The CPU can only support max of 8gb of ram, would need to buy an 8gb stick. It can only take one stick so need to replace what you have.

go here and click on Scan my laptop and it will show you what they offer.

HP recommend crucial. I took reference from them.

No match found, lol thanks for you help anyway mate..think ill have to go down the dedicated gaming laptop route.. happy new year..
Strange it wasn't found.

Make sure its got two GPU in it.
What I mean is, they often use the Igpu which is in the CPU for desktop and light tasks, but it will also include another dedicated GPU just for games and graphically intensive actions.
More ram, more cores. Quad core CPU shouldn't even be offered in 2023 and yet I see they were:
I had a quad core 10 years ago and they were being replaced even then. More cores it has, more it can do at once and with less waiting.
