Feeling mighty tempted to upgrade my video card right now. I think it's just FOMO, honestly. But going from a 6700XT to a 9060 XT is actually a solid upgrade for me and I could pick-up the 9060XT from Microcenter for about $200 if I trade in my 6700XT with them. Though, I could likely sell it on eBay for more if I wanted to deal with all the faff with that.

The FOMO is kicking in with the declaration that GPU prices will likely increase. I don't really NEED a new GPU, given I barely use my desktop for gaming as is, but it should would be neat.

Holding off by telling myself its probably only 10% and my current card should do another couple years, by which time it might be over anyway.

Yeah, I've calmed myself down just by talking about. Realizing it's not really any benefit given I game at 1080p and not to mention, maybe play games only a few times a month on my desktop; not to mention, most of those are indies or low spec stuff. The last few games I played on my desktop were Darkest Dungeon 2 and Cultic...Pacific Drive, I guess. Not anything that's ever going to push my 6700 XT at 1080p.

A new processor might be nice, but again, it's pretty limited as far as what games will benefit from it (Transport Fever 2) and rarely do I play it on this machine.

In the Chinese game Where Winds Meet, you can pet different cats, and they grow more interested in you. The dogs on the other hand just stand there motionless or they follow you and bark like hell. They really don't want you to like dogs:DI also read some of the signposts people have placed near a barking dog (kind of like the signs in Dark Souls) and the majority read: "barking dog, I accidentally killed it." "Me too, my hand slipped!" Dog Died, unfortunate accident, "evil dog" and so on.

At least this guy stood up for this dog:

To add some context, watch this meme video which is a direct pun against the streamer Hasan who used a shock collar on his dog because it didn't want to sit for hours on the dog bed motionless.

I played some more Elden Ring. I found the Demi-human ashes that @Zloth pointed me towards (thanks!), a jellyfish one and one with skeletons. I upped my dex to 16 so I could use the new spear I found and discovered that it isn't actually used as a spear. For some reason my guy is swinging it around in giant arches instead of just stabbing things with it, so I went back to the halberd I started with and upgraded it to +3.

I also lost my souls for the first time since I started playing and it was a couple of thousand as well, which sucked. It wasn't even against a boss, just some random group of humans.

My wife and I started a new game of Baldur's Gate 3. Her as a druid and me as a ranger and so far it's going quite well. We even almost killed the demon guy at the beginning, he only had 14 health left when everyone started dropping and my wife got us out of there.
