New processor

Hello, i wanted to ask for help if anyone can help me verify if a new processor will fit into my pc. I wanted to get ryzen 5 5600x, rn i have ryzen 7 2700.
My specs are:

Motherboard: B450M-A PRO MAX
Bios version: 7C52v3J
Graphic card: RTX 3060 TI
PSU: MAG - idk the exact model but it should have 550w
CPU fan: SilentiumPC Fera 5 (most likely)

If i forgot something, please let me know, tyy

In my opinion it should say on the box or the manufacturer should actually say what is compatible with each part and I don't think someone is actually doing it, or if they are, they are doing it poorly or don't actually know.

That would work fine for Intel Motherboards as they don't change what its compatible with after launch as much as AMD boards can. When that board was released the CPU It ended up being able to work with weren't even on the drawing board.

Most motherboard makers will show a list of CPU they are compatible with on their website as its easier to update than the box
