I need some help with my new monitor selection for gaming. I have some questions.

1. I heard IPS panels are better?
2. For competitve gaming, should i choose 144hz, 165hz or even 244hz? I think 165hz would be fine ( ill pair it with rtx 3060ti later )
Which should make it "future proof" for some time?
3. Any other info and recomendations are welcome :). Thank you.

FYI I live in Europe and I was looking at something like this, but can't find any info on this specific monitor -> https://www.computeruniverse.net/de...5_1670501456_56fdf7e702eda8eb20c83ba20c4d891f.

1. In general IPS panels have good response times and bright colours at good prices but the contrast ratio is not as good as VA or OLED. VA in general are a bit cheaper but have slower response times which isnt great for competitive play, and OLED has bright colors, high contrast but is very expensive and relatively new tech in monitors. There is also TN which is generally cheaper, has the best response times, and slightly better contrast than IPS (Nope its about teh same if not slightly worse), but the colors and image are not as good quality as the other types.

2. For competitive gaming I have no personal experience. I'd hazard a guess for a good level 165 hz is probably OK, but if youre going to the world championships probably look into 240hz plus. You have to be super fast to notice the difference at those speeds.

Review

Even though its not officially supported, this one is tested as Gsync compatible in this review so will work with your RTX 3060Ti well. It also has a recommendation from one of the most thorough monitor review sites. Its slightly cheaper than the one you linked here. I'd look into this one more closely, although there are many good options these days.
