Question mouse's cursor disappears in game

Hi!
Whenever I'm playing a game in full screen my cursor disappears, this happened after I took out my dedicated video card and started using the intel integrated video card.
Can someone help me? (my cpu is a intel core i3-3320 3.30GHz)

Check the video specs of the game(s) you're playing. My guess is it/they need more than integrated—which btw is not a card, it's part of the CPU.

I tested half-life, counter-strike and hollow knight.
the only game that the cursor appears is in hollow knight

yes, i have 2x4ram and a ssd too

has HD 2500 igpu

Compared to the faster HD Graphics 4000, the 2500 one features less Execution Units (6 versus 16) and only one texture sampler. Therefore, the performance is clearly worse and only suited for low demanding gaming. Intel states a 10 to 15% higher performance compared to the old Sandy Bridge based HD Graphics 2000. Therefore, only older casual games with low requirements are playable with the HD 2500.

why remove discrete card?

running off CPU just gives it more to do.

igpu has to use ram too so it could be helped by having more than 8gb for everything

its a 2d game, its graphics aren't that punishing really.

could be cpu's grunt is enough, the 9800GTX is still better than his igpu, by a fair margin

I'll try to find another cpu, if the cursor appears with the other cpu I'll let you know here.
I think i can find my i3-4130

No one has benchmarked the 9800 GTX against the UHD 770, closest I got is a GT from 2013.

better off trying to get a 2nd hand old GPU as it beat the Intel graphics. Provided its from 2013 or so.

I managed to solve my problem with the cursor, it was just a silly problem, I think it was the intel drivers that were outdated on my windows.
thank you for the help. (in the future I will try to get a GTX.)
