This is of course not exclusive to gaming, but it does seem sometimes like a large part of gamers are especially brainless.

Steam moderators gave me a 12 hour ban on a Steam forum for copying/pasting the post above about angry gamers into an extremely toxic forum thread. They deleted the post and left all the toxic goodness. I guess the takeaway from that is that you should just let the toxic people take over, which is exactly what I said in my response to Steam support about the ban. I also was warned recently about accusing the anti-woke people of inciting in another forum. Honestly, if they are going to go after the people trying to fix the problem, then I couldn't care less about being banned. I don't actually want to talk to those people, anyway.

I'm actually kind of coming to the opinion that Steam moderators don't even read the threads and just automatically warn/ban whoever gets reported.

looks at size of the forum, totally understands not reading every reported thread. The job gets to you after a while. Decides to leave it there.
