M.2 help

Hi I’m new to building and I have a
Asus Rog Strix z490 motherboard.
I want to use M.2 Seagate firecuda 510
a 500gb for os and a 2TB for other storage. Does anyone know if they are comparable with both M.2 slots on the board
As one slot it says SATA, PCIe 3 x 4
The other PCIe 3 x 4, NVME

Hi! Which Strix z490 board do you have exactly?

Sounds like it means that using the M2 slot that says SATA will disable a couple of the other SATA ports on the motherboard. This probably won't affect you, unless you happen to have a lot of other SATA SSD's/HDD's or optical drives in the system. Also depending on how many SATA ports you have.
