Question Looking for New GPU upgrade for my AMD Ryzen 5 1600 Six-Core Processor 3.20 GHz???

Hey guys,

Im looking for a new GPU upgrade for my AMD Ryzen 5 1600 Six-Core Processor 3.20 GHz.
My preferences are 8GB vram, and the cheapest one possible.

Just downloaded hogwarts legacy and the fps lag is a joke lol.

Can someone help me?

Kind Regards,

Dennis.

You may need more than just a GPU, your CPU is lacking by comparison to more current CPUs.

What is the make/model of your motherboard? How much memory do you have?

Are you using a SSD or HDD?

Motherboard:
X370 GAMING PLUS (MS-7A33)

Memory:
Installed Physical Memory (RAM) 16.0 GB
Total Physical Memory 7.95 GB
Available Physical Memory 4.98 GB
Total Virtual Memory 18.9 GB
Available Virtual Memory 12.5 GB

Im using SSD

Size 931.50 GB (1,000,186,310,656 bytes)
Free Space 310.91 GB (333,831,835,648 bytes)
Volume Name Extra SSD

Description Local Fixed Disk
Compressed No
File System NTFS
Size 118.63 GB (127,377,149,952 bytes)
Free Space 42.86 GB (46,021,988,352 bytes)

You need to consider the recommended power for any new GPU. For example it's generally recommended that you need a 650w PSU for an AMD 6700XT.

The more important question is what resolution do you play at? If it's 1080p then something like a 6650XT. Scan in the UK has a PowerColor one at £310 which is cheaper than the 6600 ones on their site.

Toms Hardware has a GPU benchmarks hierarchy that might help as well.
