Advice on Gamer PC Upgrades

I am completely new to computer builds and purchased a prebuilt desktop. I have been running it for a couple of years and noticed that I have had a lot of lag during some online gaming.
Looking for advice on what to upgrade and what to upgrade to. See specs below:
Processor: AMD Ryzen 5 1600 Six Core Processor
Installed RAM: 8GB
System Type: 64-bit OS
Edition: Windows 10 Home
Version: 21H2

AMD specifics:
GPU: Radeon RX 5800 Series
VRAM: 4096MB GDDR5 1750MHz
Version: Always kept up to date

Depending on your make and model of motherboard you might upgrade your cpu and RAM. I'd wait for AMD to release their new lineup of cpu's to check prices and availability.
