I played a couple of hours of Noita. I'm mostly just dying a bunch, but I'm starting to learn how to avoid being set on fire or burned by toxic waste. I've also gotten a lot better at killing enemies without getting hit in the first two levels. I still have no real grasp of what makes a good wand though, so I'm really struggling once I get deeper and the enemies get tougher.

Its been a minute for me! Still pre-occupied on weekends with setting up a new place and exploring outside but have had some game time.

Currently im really only playing Diablo 4 on my own and then helldivers 2 when the wife or son want to play together. I dabble a small bit in Tainted Grail and Doom, but... yea by and large mostly Diablo 4. They have a new season out and im currently running through it. Should be wrapped up by the end of the month in time for the release of Killing Floor 3 🎉

Speaking of KF3, the developers announced there was going to be another open beta but still no beta and the game is roughly 2 weeks away from release. Weird.

So, yes Diablo 4 has a new season and a lot of players say they are getting sick of the seasonal powers/grind loop to be boring and tired. I also see that steams numbers of Diablo 4 season after season keep going up.

The game is currently on sale for the steam event, and to be honest, Diablo 4 and its expansion are absolutely worth buying at the current price of 43 usd so i can see why the players keep going up on steam but the seasonal style and grind argument is 100% valid.

I love diablo and its my best ARPG even if its a complete former shadow of itself but blizzard really has to do something and im not holding my breathe, especially with MS's recent layoffs, there are too many other great ARPGs to play.

Anyways Tony Hawks pro skater 3+4 comes out this friday. Was a big fan of pro skater 3 but i dont like bam margera so im going to see if i can at least demo it then decide to sink more time into it. I was pretty good at those grinds back in the day....

Love that game! The first time I got to the final boss, I had a teleportation buff, so every time I got hit, I would teleport downwards. Sounds good, right? Well, depends on when you get it, because I got it at the first level, and in roughly 1 minute, I was at the final boss. The final boss looked at me and laughed and the rest is history.

Noita got some really amazing wands/buff combo. I got one that made the whole map crumble. The whole map just fell apart. Ouch! Another one I got spewed out unlimited tentacles, it was insane!.

I'm almost finished with Dreamfall chapters, its been good like an interactive visual novel of sorts. my comments on the usual topic.

Still thinking what to play next atm. it will be another indie game, perhaps picking ones that i think i can finish quickly and are on my older collection. One of them will be zombie night terror. Or should i leave that for Halloween instead?

probably why most people go for ludicrous totals
At least you learned something from it :)
It's an easy enough adjustment to make at this point. Focus on bonus cards and getting cards counted multiple times. But I'm not really interested in doing the endless mode. There's too much RNG involved in getting exactly the right draws. I'll probably finish the game in the next day or two because I haven't lost a game in awhile now. Just need to play each deck and difficulty, and I'll be satisfied.

It drives me crazy when someone leaves a review that says something like "You have to have a controller to play this game. It was a complete waste of my money."

REFUND THE DAMN GAME YOU MORON. It only takes a few seconds. Just refund it.

A buddy of mine refuses to play any PC games with a controller and I'm not sure why. He's relatively new to PC gaming (last 10 years maybe?) and was a filthy console peasant before that, so maybe he's got PTSD or something.

As mentioned in Corner Club, I got Might & Magic 4 working on my Deck pretty well; it's a game I've been meaning to play for a number of years now and I'm really not sure why? I have no idea if the game/series really holds-up, but something about it and it's graphical style really appealed to me and I just wanted to spend time in its world.

So far, I think I've spent about 3 hours with it and I'm enjoying myself. It's pretty challenging, but it's been fun to figure out how things work and it seems like my party is coming along; they've leveled several times and I'm doing better in the dungeon I'm in currently since I figured out how to actually level them up. They still need better gear, but I'm still making progress and enjoying having the game on my Deck.

Also played a bit more Death Stranding. It's ok. I'm finding it a harder play when I'm not lying in bed, sick, all day. But my oldest got me motivated to spend a little more time with it, as he's become enamored with it for some reason, in spite of it being all cutscenes and nonsense story. I'm not sure I have the motivation to continue on my own right now, but he'll probably pester me in to playing some more and I'm ok with that.

I've seen some pretty great buffs and wands already. Too bad I hadn't learned how to not blow myself up yet.

Since posting that I hadn't lost of game of Balatro in awhile, I haven't won a game of Balatro. My brain just isn't working today. I've made critical mistake after critical mistake, usually on the boss blinds. For instance, at least three times I didn't even check to see what the conditions were, and on two of those occasions I blissfully played a straight in the first hand only to learn that I then had to continue playing straights after that. Two other times I was turning in hands with less than 5 cards when the condition was that they had to be 5 cards.

I could normally have recovered from some of these problems, but I've got it on the highest difficulty and the scaling is up there, AND I keep getting crap for jokers.

Lenovo makes the best gaming laptops you can find, btw. Great build quality, no problems with heat, and they last for years, which is incredibly rare in the gaming laptop world. They are often very affordable, too.

Definitely heard this about the Legion line of machines. If I ever bought another gaming laptop, I'd probably get one; all the gaming laptops I've ever had die after a couple of years, Razer being the absolute worst.

Also, I'm obsessed with Thinkpads.

They have turned one of our thread ideas into an online competition

Maybe I'm just whining, but I feel like "Soul Caliber" should be a legitimate answer for SoulCalibur 6, just because I can't spell the name exactly right since the designers can't spell.
