Is my graphics card broken or software?

Hello

I have forgotten what my Graphics card is but its in my signature. I think its XFX Radeon RX 580 8 GB GTR XXX

My software is up to date and running AMD Radeon software 21.5.2.

Every so often my screen will go black, and nothing will show for about 2-3 seconds. its only been happening for about a week.

could try running DDU in safe mode, remove current Radeon drivers and reinstall them - https://forums.tomshardware.com/faq...n-install-of-your-video-card-drivers.2402269/

try cleaning dust out inside pc as well, could be heat?

let Windows find older AMD drivers for card
Would Windows do that? I thought Win would only have their latest.

I never update drivers unless I have a problem or a specific reason—eg new game requires them—and then only after making an image of my system drive with Macrium Reflect.

When I do update, my preferred driver sources, in order of preference, are:
1 OEM, eg AMD, Intel, Nvidia etc;
2 Card manufactured, eg Asus, Gigabyte etc;
3 Microsoft.
Reason for this is OEM should get the newest drivers first—since they make them—then the card manufacturers, and lastly Microsoft.
