What are the best or otherwise most famous games in your library that you have never even played?

I have a ton - 550+ games and no time to play them.

Here are a few of mine:

Most of the Assassin's Creed series (I have almost all of them and only played the first one)
Batman Arkham Series
Darksiders 1 & 2
Dead Space
Deus Ex: Human Revolution
The Entire Deponia Series
Dragon Age: Origins
Just Cause 1 & 2
Mass Effect 2
Psychonauts
The Elder Scrolls (Morrowind and Oblivion)

And plenty more.

Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon
Metro 2033
Planet Coaster
South Park: The Fractured But Whole
Underworld Ascendant
Wolfenstein 2
Yakuza Kiwami and YK2
and a hand full of games I never wanted, like DOTA 2
and a hand full of games I played then got new editions, like Divinity: Original Sin

And that's it. On Steam. GOG is... different. ;)

My Steam library has 265 games in it and I think I've played maybe 7 of them. I'm very bad at this.

I have 2,429 hours in Civ 5 though, so that counts for something, I hope.

Some of the more famous titles I never played:
  • Bioshock series
  • Batman Arkham games
  • Dishonored
  • Half-Life games
  • Injustice
  • The Witcher games
  • The Wolf Among Us

I have 882 games in my library, only beaten about a handful of them. A ton of my games come from really cheap bundle deals online, and it just keeps piling on to the point where it takes ages for me to decide what I actually want to invest time into.

The games that I own which I really should play are:
  • The entire Batman Arkham series
  • Brutal Legend
  • Bully
  • Elite Dangerous
  • Grim Fandango
  • Hellblade
  • Hitman 2
  • Mass Effect 1 and 2
  • The rebooted Tomb Raider series
  • Sniper Elite 2 and 3
  • Splinter Cell Chaos Theory
  • The Walking Dead
  • Yakuza 0 and Kiwami
...and many countless more...

Most of my game list is made up of games where all but 2 of them have only played a few minutes. I only have 21 Steam games. The two with more than a few are way more - Torchlight has 236 hours & Torchlight 2 has 886 hours.
I have Sacred 2 on Steam but I owned that game long before steam existed and its play time is likely in the years.

There are currently ‭1,189‬ games in my Steam library that have never been played. I went through a long phase of buying lots of bundles and never playing majority of of the games. I kicked that habit a few years ago.

With a library of close to 1,800 games, I have about 680 games in my backlog and a further 360 games in my replay (games I've tried but couldn't get into at the time or games further in the series of games I haven't played yet)

Here are some highlights:

A Plague Tale
Alien: Isolation
Baldur's Gate I & II: Enhanced Editions
Bayonetta
Beyond Good & Evil
Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel
Call of Duty: Black Ops 4
Call of Duty: WWII
Company of Heroes 2
Dark Souls II
Dark Souls III
Destiny 2
Dishonored 2
Hitman (2016)
Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty
Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater
Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain
Ori and the Will of the Wisps
Ori and the Blind Forest: Definitive Edition
Pillars of Eternity
Red Dead Redemption 2
Resident Evil 4, 5, 6
The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind
Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Series
X-COM 2

And probably a lot more, I was trying to be selective since there are so many.

Beyond Good and Evil - You need to play it. I was very surprised at how much fun it was when I played it.

I also forgot to mention this one that I have never played:
Counter-Strike: GO (I have never played any Counter-Strike that I can recall)

The Witcher 2. Never installed. I played the first game for 40 minutes and said "NAH" :/

Also Monaco. Also ever installed.

And Wolfenstein: The New Order... working my way towards digging in. I played through The Old Blood and really enjoyed it.

Similar story for me. Used to pick up every bundle. Currently have 1,162 unplayed games. One day I'll have someone scour it and tell me what I should play o_O

These were all pretty cheap or freebies, it's usually the ones I pay AAA price for that I will definitely get to. I don't typically buy stuff from digital distributors unless I know I'll play it.

Borderlands - The Pre-Sequel
Dead Island
F1 2015
Oddworld Abe's Odyssey
Sins of a Solar Empire Rebellion
The Walking Dead
The Bureau - XCOM Declassified
X-COM - UFO Defense
X-COM - Enemy Unknown

- Half-Life games
- Batman
- Darksiders

And much more :p. Out of the 600 games in my library, 450 never have been touched.
