Im trying to build a new gaming pc with a budget of £800 i would like to get a Amd ryzen 7 3800x with 2x8gb of ram and a
asus rog thor 850w power supply and the mbd i think i want is the asus rog strix b450f. i just need a GPU and a pc case that it can all fit into and that they are all compatible with each other. i already have a pc but its old and bad im keeping my ssd and hdd and 2x8gb of ram from it.

You want a Z590 board for that cpu. Switch the i5 in that build I posted with this cpu.

You can but it wouldn't make much sense. The 'K' (unlocked) cpu's are meant for overclocking and have twice the TDP as a locked cpu.

If this is the board you already purchased then you want an AMD Ryzen cpu.
