Hey, I am making my first gaming pc and I have everything settled, except for my GPU, I was origionally going to go with the RX 6700XT, but now I'm questioning myself, i hear good things about NVIDIA and I am thinking maybe I should get an NVIDIA GPU or a better gpu than a 6700, anyways I don't have a hige budget, im trying to stay within $2000, I would really appreciate the help. Thanks!

Welcome to the forum :)

How much of that is left over for GPU?

Our experts will want to know a bare minimum of info to help you:
What kind of usage will PC get, incl what kind of games?
What resolution and frequency will you play at?
Exact make & model of PSU, Mobo and CPU.

Further info re case, cooling, RAM & storage might also be asked for.
So... this is my build on pcpartpicker;(
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 7700X 4.5 GHz 8-Core Processor ($374.64 @ MemoryC)
CPU Cooler: ARCTIC Liquid Freezer II 240 A-RGB 48.8 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler ($111.99 @ Amazon)
Motherboard: MSI PRO B650-P WIFI ATX AM5 Motherboard ($219.99 @ Amazon)
Memory: G.Skill Trident Z5 RGB 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR5-6000 CL36 Memory ($137.99 @ Newegg)
Storage: Western Digital Black SN770 2 TB M.2-2280 PCIe 4.0 X4 NVME Solid State Drive ($119.99 @ Amazon)
Video Card: Asus TUF GAMING GeForce RTX 4070 Ti 12 GB Video Card ($799.99 @ B&H)
Case: Lian Li PC-O11 Dynamic ATX Full Tower Case ($143.98 @ B&H)
Power Supply: Corsair RM750e 750 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply ($99.99 @ Best Buy)
Total: $2008.56
)

I originally had an RX 6700X, but I swapped it for an RTX 4070 Ti, and It still roughly stayed within my budget, I ordered a monitor off amazon yesterday, which I had also gotten help with on this forum subdivision, I can link it but I know its 1440p and thats pretty much it. Link: (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09R26XXFW/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1)
I am planning to play a lot of shooters, like Overwatch 2, Fortnite, Apex Legends on Med-High settings, and I was also wanting to try out Hogwarts Legacy. Thats pretty much all of the games I currently play, but I wouldnt mind getting into more, if you need anything else just ask. OH ALSO I only ordered the monitor, not anything else, and I still need case fans for my o11 dynamic If you could reccomend some of those

Edit, Heres the link for the GPU : https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/prod...rtx4070ti_12g_gaming_geforce_rtx_4070_ti.html

6700xt wasn't a bad card, if you weren't getting a new PC I wouldn't have seen a point in upgrading - doing it every generation is a waste of money for most people.
But since its a new PC, why not have all new parts.
ok, I get that, but wasnt it not supposed to release until next week, or am I think of somehting else

I think the TI should be better

https://www.techpowerup.com/gpu-specs/geforce-rtx-4070-ti.c3950
max speed = 2610
Max speed = 2475

TI models are the faster versions historically. Nvidia just releasing models in a descending order. Try to get more people to buy top cards before they show lower cards that most people actually want.
