AMD support a Display Port speed their GPU can't currently match, whereas Nvidia use the older version which their cards can match.
I expect in 2028 when both the 60 series is released, and whatever AMD call next gen, they will likely have DP 2.2 and the 6090 might be able to run 8k native. Might.
AMD/Nvidia & Intel don't really like going past 10. They always seem to rename... Sure, Intel got to 14 this time before changing, but 10 is where is diverges

As I suspected the monitor I was after didn't release today so I just wait until it does. Some people in USA reported getting it last week so it just needs to be in larger supply.
