Question Games crashes-HELP

Hi, so recently i bought new Pc(cheap), its AMD fx4300 and gtx280. My old Pc was AMD a-3 3400 & Radeon hd 7470. I have gta5 on my "new" Pc and it works perfectly. I just cant play games like any far cry, game just crashes after seconds. I tried fixing everything, and i figured out that i Can play only with my old GPU in my new Pc . But that's downgrade and i want to play it with my 280. Any suggestions please?

Given the age of the components (the GTX 280 was released in 2008), you may have several issues in play here. This sounds like a typical heat and/or power issue. Do you know if the thermal pads/compound on the GTX 280 have ever been changed?

No, i don't know but i don't think so. So changing them is the way?

It may help. The GPU may be overheating. Changing is relatively easy and inexpensive and could solve the problem.
