I was skeptical about Dune: Awakening at first, but after spending some time with it, I can confidently say it’s a unique and solid survival MMO. The premise might seem strange initially—no Fremen, and a reimagined version of Arrakis—but it works. The game captures that Dune vibe, blending weird, mystical elements with survival mechanics.

You play as a stranded character trying to survive in a brutal desert, where water is your most precious resource. The game’s combat is engaging, especially the ranged battles, and the world-building really shines. Exploring the desert, raiding bandit camps for resources, and managing your base is all satisfying.

Sure, there are a few MMO tropes that break immersion (like seeing abandoned bases everywhere), but the game is stable, visually stunning, and captures the essence of Dune in a way no
other game has. If you’re a fan of survival games or the Dune universe, give this one a shot!
