We've played some of Dune: Awakening, and we're looking for questions, comments, and concerns to respond to for an upcoming video. Hit us below with anything you've got, and we might use your comment in our video.

Some food for thought:

How much political intrigue does the game include?

Can you ride worms?

Can you create an explosion by shooting a shield with a lasgun?

What exactly do you gather resources for? Is it primarily crafting gear with slightly higher numerical stats?

How technologically advanced is the tech you get? While life on Dune is rough, they do have a lot of very advanced tech besides just the shields and stillsuits.

What is the role of spice? Is every character addicted to it, so you need it just like you need water and food? Is the primary purpose of hoarding spice to sell it for a lot of money or is there something else you can do with it?

Is PVP limited to inter-faction combat or do you have inner-faction combat as well?

Can you play the game (mostly) solo or are you expected to work with other players?

Are there multiple crafting skills? If so, are you expected/forced to specialise or can you do it all by yourself?

What is the explanation for a one-time-use schematic? What happens to the schematic after you use it, why can't it be used multiple times?

Worms go after shield generators, right? Can we get a gun that shoots shield generators that turn on only when they hit something? Sort of like a shark gun from Armed & Dangerous and Saints Row 3, only this gun would be giant worms that would eat entire buildings.

I assume you can at least get thumpers. Would be interesting if you could shoot them over a distance or drop them from a ornithopter.

I'm not sure what to think of this game honestly. It feels weird that it starts as a survival crafting game and then just kind of does away with the survival part. Which, I suppose, is how a lot of single-player survival crafting games work, but they don't have the kind of endgame you'd expect in a MMO. I wonder if you'll be able to skip the entire survival part by just joining an existing player guild when you start the game.

I do like that shields do actually stop guns altogether, despite the knife combat not looking particularly impressive. It's also probably for the better you can't explode a shield with a lasgun.

I have my doubts about being able to play as a solo player. Once you've finished with the progression through the survival crafting part of the game it seems like there wouldn't be much left to do, as it doesn't seem like the game will feature expansive story lines to play through.

It seems like most of the political intrigue will have o come from the interaction between player guilds, but I'm curious what that will look like. Ideally there will be a system that both rewards working together and backstabbing your allies.
