Everything SteelSeries

While I was spending enough money to float the US government for...uh.... .00003 seconds (that's a lot of money), I decided I might as well go nuts with it. Everything in my desktop is Gigabyte. Now I have SteelSeries: mouse, keyboard, headset.

I decided I liked their mouse and software so much that I would toss them yet more money.

Here's the keyboard and the lights go perfectly with my PC's RGB

Here's the headset which comes with its own DAC/AMP. Sounds better than my other headsets with microphones. Good enough for everyday use, though I'll probably switch over to something else when I binge some music.

Here's the mouse which has weird CSGP picture on it, but it's the only style left.

I did think about getting a Apex Pro Gen 3 but at the time their asking price here was stupid... I think it was over $500.
the closest I got to one of the photos on the website is my mouse

only problem I have with mouse is sometimes I can't find its cursor. Not sure it wakes as fast as I would like.

headset? Um, I have a pair of these but they haven't been used in years.

I like how that mouse looks, but it doesn't have enough buttons for me. The keyboard is nice, too. Not sure what the difference is between that one and the one I bought, but I definitely don't need more than I have. It reads like it's designed for competitive play, which I don't do. The difference between a millisecond and 2 milliseconds would be a total waste of money for me.

Love that Diablo headset. I threw out all my headsets from back then. The tech is just better these days, but yours is basically a collector's item with the Diablo branding.

I could guess before I looked but its the switches, the Pro Gen 3 uses optical switches meaning you can adjust the point where it registers. It might even let you set two commands to same key with different activation points, I know some keyboards can do that now.

OMNIPOINT 3.0 — More than just fast, our newly redesigned Hall Effect Switch have 20x faster actuation and 11x quicker response time, with 40 levels of adjustable actuation.
also has an oled display but that wouldn't be a reason to buy a KB

I didn't want to have to deal with adjusting it to my exact preferences.

its only 13 years old. I rarely got to use the headset

That's a big "heck no" from me. If you can assign two things to the same keypress or adjust when it registers that means the keys have more room to be pressed farther, which is a type of keyboard that I'm not going to use. Talk about delay? Every millimeter farther you have to push the key is worse than any sort of keyboard lag. And I don't want to set it to go off before I hit the bottom, that would be incredibly awkward.

its so you can make the keyboard ultra sensitive. Good for shooting games I guess, you can turn kb into a controller in a way.

Funny thing is Hall Effect is already old

You can set exactly how far you press a key before it registers.

It was a complication I really didn't need.
