Initially skeptical, now completely hooked. Dune: Awakening captures the brutal desert survival experience with engaging combat, base building, and a unique MMO twist. Water scarcity, sandstorms, and sandworms make Arrakis unforgiving. Though not perfect, this might be the Dune game we've all been waiting for. #DuneAwakening #SurvivalGame

Love the Dune universe but a survival game was the least appealing genre to put a Dune game in imo.

Just sank 26 hours into Arrakis. The start is BRUTAL—you'll die of thirst constantly. Honestly, I almost quit multiple times.

But stick with it. The moment you craft your first stillsuit and get a sandbike is a total game-changer, and it feels so earned. The "slow blade penetrates the shield" combat is an awesome mechanic, and the survival loop of gathering, crafting, and building your base is surprisingly addictive. Going from a trash shelter to a real base while dodging sandworms is peak gaming.

Despite some jank and glitches, this game has its hooks in me.

Did you miss the part of the tutorial where they tell you you can drink from certain plants? Or did you miss the fact that these plants are marked on your map if you've been near them? Or did you miss the part where sunstroke quickly depletes your hydration?

It should be almost impossible to die from thirst unless you're just not paying attention.
