@January's Ghost I had a lot of fun with the game. One of my favorite activities was doing the datacrons which was for the most part fun to do except for the infamous air balloon wait and ride for the Tatooine datacron.

A fond memory was getting the slave bikini outfit from Hutta and slowly walk around the major hubs to show off the golden slave bikini and my NPC companion wearing the same outfit. People were drooling!

The PVP was for the most part good (I played as a Bounty Hunter Merc), except for the hilarious PVP farming that happened with both teams just staying there and farming points like on Ilum. The PVE raiding was weird and buggy and I can't say I had a fun time doing those.

I still haven't gotten some on the newest planets that have them. Getting them is crazy.

It's always nice to show off reputation gear, especially THAT reputation gear.

Never did PVP but once or twice. Never was my thing.

Tried one or two operations, same story as WoW raids: to o much waiting to start, too much waiting while the boss fight gets explained to noobs, too much waiting to recover from wipes and go over strategies again. Just too much damn waiting.

Not sure if it counts, but I bought the Box set of Diablo 3 when RoS was released. Still have it sealed up in the plastic. Never opened it since I bought them on digital originally. Must add it is an Achilles heel when having game nights and or friends over. The box set always seem to end up on a discussion or even on the table during a card game.

I just did but there a kickstarter for a tomb raider board game. i know this is about video games but its basr on one.

It has an 8 inch lara croft statue you could add on to the base. Its a really cool sculpture. You have to paint it, butitsgoung to be part of a video game display. Gonna be next to my nomad and terran marine from starcraft :)

The board game was crazy priced at 150, but it has a ton of paintable mini's, that i can use for a mini diarama im working on, dungeons and dragons stlye figures, but it has mythical monsters in the game so it will be cool. I also have a hero quest collectors box, so it has extra monsters too.

Check out the mini's if your into that sort of thing. Scroll to the bottom for the lara figure, the other minis are near the bottom. I know sorta off topic, but it is lara croft! So i figure id get a pass :p

150 for a big board game isn't actually all that crazy nowadays, especially not if it has mini's. The physical edition of Gloomhaven is €200 (I bought it for €140 back in the day) and the sequel is currently €320 at my local board game store.

The most expensive item they have on their website is an unpainted Tiamat mini for €450.

I don't anymore, but back in the day when the value for them seemed better then yes. I still have my Steelbook Metroid Prime Trilogy for the Wii which was so awesome back in the day. Not so much a collector's edition since there weren't any items included, but the fact that it came in a metal case was mind blowing back then and made me want it much more. I also loved the collector's editions of Elder Scrolls games, they always came with a great map, but when Skyrim came out you can tell that was the start of Bethesda's decline. At least between Morrowind and Oblivion, they provided a nice cloth-like material map, but with Skyrim it came with a basic glossy paper map. Even back then I thought "what the hell? Why cut back on the quality of the item?" and boy should I have known where things were gonna go with them.

I've never bought one, though I did get the "founder's" pre-order edition of Galactic Civilizations 3, which meant I got every DLC the released for free. That was about $100, so it cost as much as a low-end collector's edition. (The game ended up having a LOT of DLC, too!)

Did you name a star? I wanted to do that. I was going to name it after my grand mother, but i missed the window.

Yep! I think I used Solaris. Lem had a Solaris, Asimov had a Solaria (close enough), BattleTech has a Solaris... Gal Civ needed one, too.

Honestly, I was a bit unhappy that most of the custom stars were women's names. A *LOT* of people decided to put in the wife/fiancé/daughter's first name. I was hoping for Trantor, Magrathea, Gallifrey, Hoth, Vulcan, Alderan... but I got Mary, Nancy, Jenny....

Well, mine was also a women Ruby 1914, you can probably guess why. Still i think its a fitting mame for a star, especially a red giant system.

But isnt there a toggle to turn that off though? I could swear i remember some complaints about the whole thing. Though one of the ones that got a lot of flak for being bad was one of the devs that picked it.

But honestly, id rather a girls name than some of the ones i've seen. Most of the famous stars people know are named after people casiopia is probably one of the more famous.

I never looked at the name a star complete database, but it has some real crazy names.

iin the end though gc3 never did it for me for what ever reason i played a ton of gc2, but 3 was missing something. 4 seams a lot more interesting, but i havnt bought it yet. Ive been sucked into a couple games so intensly, that i havent even lauched a couple games i know will be done in a single night.

I did start gaurdians of the galaxy though, after not being able to pass up 5 bucks, and im actually playing it! 4 hours in and still going strong. :)

Yall have seen my previous post about Skyrims LE being my favorite. Well, it still is but i recently got the Doom: The Dark Ages LE, some have seen the pics of it so i wont repost them but that LE is right up there with Skyrims. The detail to Slayer is amazing. The Red Key is weighty and detailed. Actually think the statue might be better than the game lol
Doomguy looks epic in that statue. The detail is incredible!

That works pretty good!

Yeah, the constellation. There's also Andromeda, which is also a woman. Virgo is typically considered a woman. Oh, and there's one for a woman's hair. The other 84 are men, objects, or critters. Thank you Wikipedia.

Yeah, I like GC2 far better, too. I think it was because of the ways I could win without being violent, which was new and fun.

There's a nasty QTE in the early parts of the game. If you can get through that, the rest is smooth sailing.

There is a accessibility setting that auto completes it successfully so you dont need to do them.

As far as they go, so far they have been simply press a button a bunch of times, verse other games that have have ones that make you press many keys in a certain order, or one of the hardest an a game called Fahrenheit or some number. It was a great game but the qtes ruined it, and i gave up.

They seamed made for a two stick controller, as you had too press two keys at once some times in different directions. I know how to type well and it was maddening even for me. I gave up on that game and now i always skip any game that has any kind of qte just yhe mention of qte makes me not think twice of the game after that.

But so far these gave neen super easy with, At least a quick save just prior so no backtracking but it still kills the flow. Had i saw qte i wouldnt have bought it, but thankfully it gas a built in cheat.

Im turning on auto win qte next session. i just read about it and thought, yes! :)

Most of the QTE's are easy in GotG, but the one I linked is pretty rough. Not only are you using both the mouse and the arrow keys at the same time, but the instructions for what it is you are supposed to do don't stay on the screen for long! It isn't too bad once you figure out just what it is that they want you to do. (These days, I would just check Steam's replay video to figure that out.)

No worries i turned it off and already noticed one auto completed, im good with that. I already turned everything else as easy as i can. This game as far as game play goes with boss fight type game play is not my thing at all. If i didnt really like the movies and the story i would of already called it quits. 20 years ago i would of enjoyed the game play, now i just done find it fun.

That said it reminds me of a game called "remeber me" in the sense i hated the combat its a fighting game with boss fight s at the end of the levels but i loved the story and exploration and had tjis really cool mini game that you tweaked memories of what happened, by altering what happened. Its very hard to explain but it was really cool and unique. The game was pretty short so i could just power through and made it worth it in the end. It was dotnods first game so you can see there evolution to the next life is strange which i thought was fantastic.

At any rate, i think ill make it. :)

I just checked my kickstarter thing and it says i can buy an extra 8" lara statue, im so torn, it would be nice to have a spare to possibly trade one day for something cool after all its supose to be kick starter exclusive. Also would be nice to have one to practice paint first... hmmmm what to do!
