BTW you guys think that at least end of this year starting next developers will take the multiple monitor setup more seriously?

It's expensive and most people I don't think can afford that kind of setup because you would also need a good rig for it. I see more of it in simulator communities and the like, but then they also have expensive chairs and similar to further enchance the realism.

Multi monitor gaming as mentioned is expensive in display cost and the GPU it takes to drive that many pixels. Also, now a days there are some excellent Ultrawide curved OLED displays that have kind of taken over that space, like the Samsung Odyssey. Aside from that, less work for developers, as it's easier to support, and also less setup hassle for end users. A sign that multi monitor gaming is fading away though is the oft times you see fixes needed for multi monitor setups still to this day, a sign that not many devs want to support it anymore.

That said, the one tradeoff of ultrawide curved vs triples is you get less peripheral view. With Ultrawide if you're playing a car racing game for instance, the peripheral stops at your side mirror, whereas with triples it extends a ways behind it.

Lower to 1080p, lower textures, turn down aa and reflections/shadows and they could could it 5 year old systems for older games, though i guess new games at high rez would need a beast. Didnt the 1080s havethree ports? Or did people use two cards?

Perhaps if you have a ton of space and build some sorta set up where you are far enough back to make a large 3 screen display work. Those old mech warrior pods seamed really cool but figure 6x8 area at least to do it right.

I really think its just a matter of proper setup to get it configed right. One of my realitives made a car racing pod I've never used it but i saw pics and it looked cool

But i think most people are like me. Sit at a desk and a 32 is even too big, such a small percent do it i dont think they make it worthit formost devs to put the time in. perhaps there are mods that do this sort of thing.
