Well as long as Aussies walk on the left side of the sidewalk like they drive, that shouldn't be a problem, unless you keep veering left and actually walk out into the street or into someone's yard! 😳I tend to slowly go left when I walk
I get it now. The LLMs are the people who have inner dialogue. The art programs are the people who think in pictures. Test: @Pifanjr how many toes does a person have?
They're sneaky. And so, so silent! One is sneaking up on you right now, in fact, getting closer and closer and... oh dammit, you moved! AGAIN! Can't you sit still for just a couple of days!?Now they don't bother me at all. And look really relaxed... but I am older
Good luck! Hoping all goes well.Having a medical procedure done tomorrow. If everything goes to plan, I should be back to pre-March Zed. Not that pre-March Zed is anything great, but it's better than March Zed.
We have drop bears, its not advisable to sit still for long here. Outside anyway... especially under treesThey're sneaky. And so, so silent! One is sneaking up on you right now, in fact, getting closer and closer and... oh dammit, you moved! AGAIN! Can't you sit still for just a couple of days!?
The funny thing about that is Koalas aren't bears actually, they're marsupials. I know this because a brother of a close friend of mine embarrassed the hell out of me one day at a community meal after I said Koala bear. I tried to tell him a LOT of people call them Koala bears, even Australians, but he just said no, they're not bears. 🙄We have drop bears, its not advisable to sit still for long here. Outside anyway... especially under trees
European settlers that arrived in Australia inaccurately called koalas ‘bears’ because of their resemblance to bears. Their scientific name, Phascolarctos cinereus, actually means ‘pouched bear’. But koalas are not members of the bear family, Ursidae; rather, they are the only members of the family Phascolarctidae.
I've always wanted to visit Australia, so many cool things there. I'm also fascinated by the Aboriginals. If more people around the world would pay more attention to how they farm sustainably even in harsh environments, there'd probably be less hunger in the world. You are correct as are they, they can be called Koala Bears but they aren't actually bears. Instead they are unique... like most things here.
Blame Europeans for naming things after things they knew at home. Same goes for Magpies.

Almost every land based animal here is a marsupial, we like to be different.
A land bridge that used to link us to SE Asia broke apart thousands of years ago and stopped intermingling, its why many of our species can also be found in PNG. Same thing applies to some trees... these are cool

Source?i have seen videos that suggest the Reef isn't as in as much danger as suggested by some and much of its just a cash grab.
If that were coming from an oceanographic authority/institute that actually conducts such studies, it would be a lot more credible than some organization on the net that calls themselves "reef rebels". He also isn't showing far back enough data to even indicate if those claimed 2025 results are any better than when the reef was at full health many decades ago. Global warming has been a thing since long before 1985.
