And just like that, the pinokio guy has returned after his mysterious 6 month absence. All he said was, "The show must go on". He doesn't owe anyone an explanation. I'm just glad he's okay.
Who?
I had a rough evening last night. Trying to apply to a job, which has some pre-interview questions which require some effort to respond to. Anyway, you guys have seen my posts, I'm wordy as hell. The gist is, it took me almost 2 hours to fully respond to 7-questions.
Now, I'm smart (I think). I knew the application website would probably log me out, but...I'm also lazy? Anyway, I figured, it would be fine, so I just input all my answers directly into the page and when I was finished, clicked save, only to discover I had been logged out and then taken back to the beginning, all my answers gone. I knew I should have put them in a Notepad doc or Word doc and responded to them, but again...lazy or something.
So boy did I rage. Ended-up hurling my phone (it was the nearest object I don't care all that much about) into my rug and ended-up damaging it (The phone, I mean. not my proudest moment and thankfully the last time I got this angry was about 15 years ago) and then going to sulk in my bedroom for an hour.
Actually, the funniest part of all this was 10 minutes into RageFest 2026, the doorbell rings and it's some F***ing solicitor--we get them all the time. Anyway, I can't help myself but answer the door at any given time and this kid (definitely a kid, like maybe mid-20s) is standing way too close to the door, so I end-up coming out and basically very curtly telling him that I'm in a terrible mood and he needs to just go away (I have no interest in doing the polite "No" 3 times) and to have a nice day. Poor guy looked like he wanted to pee his pants and wasn't quite sure what to do. But big-eyed stared at me and just said, "ok". and left.
So anyway, the point of this story is that I'm not redoing my work this morning (taking a break here on question 4) and I discovered that Winamp is still a thing. I needed some noise, so I installed it on my desktop and had it add all my files and it's working great? Just like it's always been. Nice.
