Friend had his surgery yesterday. Seems to have lasted from about 3pm to midnight; I suppose not surprising given it's open heart surgery. Surgeons thought they might need to replace two valves, but thankfully only the one that was damaged and they managed to cut out as much of the bacteria as they could find. Friend is not out of the woods yet, apparently, as the next critical to recovery, but yeah.

I struggled to fall asleep last night and then had anxious dreams about what I'd wake-up to. Thankfully things are ok for now, but I need to figure out when is a good time to visit him again here now.

I had a few walks outside doing laps of the house... go out back door and walk around paths to front door. I also walked down to the road but walking back revealed I don't like inclines yet. I now have sore feet and I am staying off them for rest of night. The pain killers I got a few weeks ago are helpful to let me sleep.

My feet will adjust, I haven't walked at all in two months. Its much easier than using the scooter, no need to park it.

Steps aren't that bad, just need to work out which foot to put down first when going up stairs. it doesn't seem to matter.

The weatherman on the radio said we could have up to 28 inches of snow on Saturday.

How about I meet you half way, snow may not stay on ground as long then.

Not going outside much next week
40 = 104f
42 = 107.6f

Seems summer has arrived. Think I go into night shift since the next day I have to go out is in one week and 4 hours time. Best way to deal with hot days is to sleep through them.

I thought I had left a spare piece of foam at the Physio appointment on Tuesday but I found it inside the boot today before I put it on. I took it out as it was under the material that wraps my foot and I had to adjust to it not being there.

Then I just went for a walk to end of the block, one way was easier than other. I never noticed the slight incline in one direction before, but I noticed it today. Grass was easier to walk on than the concrete path. Road was easier on the way back as less cracks. Branches/Twigs weren't the obstacle I thought they would be as a street cleaner had come down road in the last few days, nice coincidence.

Only having one walk today as I feel I overdid it yesterday. Outside anyway
