Here's hoping he will come back as a game writer soon.

Game writer Chris Avellone has broken his silence a year after sexual misconduct allegations were leveled against him on Twitter. The allegations, while never proved or even investigated in any serious way, nevertheless effectively derailed his decades-long career in the video game industry. Now, Avellone is not only breaking his silence, but has filed a libel suit against two of his accusers.

A column on a side? Oh, the News Stream. Yeah, I wouldn't bother with that. Click the "News" along the top to get the full news list. The stream is just latest headlines - it will miss all sorts of stuff, depending on how often you log in and how much news there is.

So the conflict is in the "he says she says" stage now. It would be nice to get some sort of resolution but, in all likelihood, they will settle out of court with gag orders on everybody.

You know, after reading that Avellone post and looking at her deleted tweets, he may have a point. Something about his side of the story doesn't quite seem 100 percent right to me, though. It feels like there's a disconnect between the situation and the accuser's actions, as if we aren't really getting the motive behind what she did. Of course, it's possible he doesn't know the motive himself. Will be interesting to follow this if it goes to court.
