The only one I've played was 7 and I only got far enough to be killed by some dragonflies. My grasp of English and my experience in video games was too limited to figure out what was going on, so I didn't play any further.

Dark Messiah of Might & Magic is the only one I played, and it has been outlawed by the OP. I almost got M&M 10 but never quite pulled the trigger.

Might & Magic 6 The Mandate of Heaven was my favorite, as it revitalized an old RPG series and had a more open-ended structure, though not true open world.

I almost got M&M 10 but never quite pulled the trigger.

My interest in the M&M games died with Might & Magic 9, as it was buggy to the point of being unplayable, incomplete areas/quests, and a complete departure from what New World Computing had produced before. I did however pickup Might & Magic 10 Legacy on a Steam sale, though it's still sitting in my TBP Steam backlog. It was made by a new developer and published by Ubisoft, so it may be a departure from the original M&M series of games, but it was cheap and I pulled the trigger.
