I ran into a slightly more serious bug, in that one of my characters ran off of a roof and took a bunch of damage instead of just climbing down. It actually happened twice, though luckily when I was already planning on taking a long rest anyway.

I'm finally ready to head into Baldur's Gate proper next time I play. Hopefully I can find some allies and get some information on how to defeat my enemies.

So you are outside the main city? Did you go to the carnival and buy your special prizes? :ROFLMAO:

I don't think so, sounds like something I missed. I thought I had done everything in the first area, but I went back today to find the Shar follower that tells Shadowheart where to find Shar's temple and I found a whole bunch of people I hadn't talked to, including a quest I had missed. Maybe I'll make another stop at the carnival next time to see what I've missed there.

Well, since I brought it up, I feel responsible, so don't buy any of their crap. :)

Wyll got targeted by a Hold Person spell and was prompted to use his Counterspell., but I figured he'd probably make the save and if not, I'd definitely be able to break the concentration of the caster.

This is how I found out you can't use revivify scrolls if someone dies on stairs, which was a bit of a bother. I had to send all of Karlach's and Wyll's inventory to camp just so she could pick him up and drop him 5 feet further onto flat ground to revive him.

Fights are definitely getting harder, especially when the enemies keep making their saves.

I took Jaheira with me for a bit while trying to find an old acquaintance of her. It made me wonder how the game would be with 4 druids. Circle of Spores Druids can get 7 summons at level 9, plus an extra familiar each if they get access to them with a feat.

Been playing for a few hours on my honor mode solo-only jack of all trades run. That means I can only use one character and whatever summons I can get. I can only level up 1 time for each class, so that means that I won't get any powerful spells over level 2, but I will get a lot of different low-level spells to choose from. So, lvl 1 wizard, lvl 1 cleric, lvl 1 bard, and so on.

It's fun, but also extremely dangerous because if I as much as fart in the wrong direction, all hell is loose. I'm heavily relying now on distance, stealth, and being able to disengage from combat if needed. I have a couple of different escape tools, like being able to double dash distance. Also have a couple of arcane recoveries, so I can stay on the move longer before going to camp.

So far, I am picking enemies one by one and slowly making progress. I need to get stronger before some fights, so I will be doing some backtracking later on and hopefully level up properly. I need as many levels as I possibly can before the Act 2 boss, so I can get the best vendor items and hopefully bring enough firepower to defeat it.

Here I am looking down at the duergar camp using the range for easy removal. I removed the net so the enemy could not climb, and I used a void bulb to get one of them out of stealth. Used a couple of smokepowder barrels, but it was done more for convenience than necessity. I had the range; they never knew what hit them.

Doesn't it get tedious always having to sneak around for every fight?

I like the idea of doing something silly like that, but it's already taking me forever to get through the game playing with a regular party, I can't imagine having to spent even longer on each fight.

I think the tedious part is now at the beginning since I am new to playing this way. A lot of testing and running away when some strategies do not work. There is a lot of fun in that because I constantly make mistakes and take risks. The funniest mistake so far was triggering the alarm inside the shattered sanctum, having all the goblins come after me. If it were not for a lucky positioning near a small burrow to the outside, I would have died.

It is a steep learning curve, and I think it makes the game feel completely new again because you can't think the same way you do with a full party.

I'm also not completely sure if I need a build or not. Like, should I go for something like radiant damage orb, reverberation, lightning damage, etc, or will it be enough with other smaller synergies? Then there is the problem with actually having enough levels to utilize builds properly, since I don't have many skills, so perhaps most builds will just be half-baked anyway. Better than nothing, right?

I'm also going to be hoarding scrolls and stealing what I don't find. I need to get some powerful ones before the Act 2 boss so I can nuke it down fast. I also need that lovely Eversight Ring from Act 2 so I can see while being inside or outside the cast darkness spell. I don't remember which boss can see through the darkness spell, but at least I know that Myrkul can't, so that part of the fight should be easier.
